How To Prepare For Senior Picture Day

Senior portraits are a chance to capture this milestone year and show a bit of personality. A little preparation can help seniors feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera.

Choose an outfit that feels like you

Simple, timeless outfits tend to photograph best. Solid colors and classic styles help keep the focus on the student rather than the clothing.

Make sure clothing fits well and is comfortable to sit and stand in. Ill-fitting clothing can bunch or wrinkle in photos.

Avoid large logos, busy patterns, or graphics that can distract from the portrait.

Keep grooming simple and natural

Neat hair, clean faces, and wrinkle-free clothing go a long way. If students wear makeup, we recommend a natural look that still feels like them.

Glasses are welcome — just make sure lenses are clean.

  • We offer instant glasses-glare removal if needed.

Bring confidence

Senior portraits should feel relaxed and authentic. Students don’t need to worry about posing — our photographers guide them through the process so they look their best.

Plan ahead

Arriving prepared helps sessions run smoothly. Make sure outfits are ready in advance, and students know their scheduled session time.

Be yourself

Senior portraits are meant to reflect this moment in time. Whether the look is polished, casual, or somewhere in between, the most important thing is that students feel comfortable and confident.
