Online Code FAQs

What is an online code and what is it used for?

An online code is a unique code used to access a student's gallery.  Unique codes can be random digits we assign or formula based using a combination of characters from the school and the student’s name. All galleries require that a user put in a code to access them here

Where can families find their online code?

  • If your school provides an email for a family in your data roster, we email the code to them.
  • For schools without provided emails, we have a formula-based system published on your school's Picture Day Page. Your school's Picture Day Page URL is www.iloveschoolpictures.com/yourschoolabbrevation. If you don’t know your school abbreviation, please contact your Account Manager.
  • For some schools we can provide paper proofs that will have the code published on them and can be sent home with the students.

A parent asked me for their code and said they didn't get an email. What is the best way to help them?

The first step is to have them check their Picture Day Page where most questions can be answered. The code construct and instructions on how to search for the email are there too. If they still can't find their code, instruct them to email our help desk at help@stompinggroundphoto.com, and our customer service team will provide the code.

What if families don't have access to the internet? Is there another way they can get their code and place an order?

For some schools (upon request), we can provide paper proofs with the code printed on them. These can be sent through backpack mail. However, families will still need internet access to view photos and place orders. Our shopping cart works on smartphones as well.

What should I do if an online code does not work?

Double-check that you have entered the code correctly, ensuring that there are no typos or extra spaces. All Picture Day Contacts have a list of codes in the portal for reference.  If the code still doesn't work, email our help desk at help@stompinggroundphoto.com and our customer service team will provide assistance.

What is gallery etiquette for using online codes?

Online codes are intended for individual families' use only. Do not forward gallery emails as they link to a student's private gallery. Here is what you need to know about how email addresses associate with student galleries.

  • To login to a gallery, an email address is required.
  • Email addresses entered become associated with that gallery.
  • If viewing multiple galleries, your email will associate to those galleries.
  • You will get email reminders on all galleries your email is associated with.
  • If an administrator needs access to multiple galleries, use email xyz@xyz.com.

Is an online code and a discount code the same thing?

No, they are not the same. An online code is used to access a student's gallery. A discount code, on the other hand, is entered before checkout and provides a discount on the items in your shopping cart.
