Volunteer Guidelines
WELCOME TO THE VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES FOR PICTURE DAY!
We're thrilled to have your help in making Picture Day a smashing success. This guide will give you clear instructions to ensure everything runs smoothly and everyone has a fantastic time.
📽️ Preparation
- Watch the Volunteer Video to understand how you can assist.
- Clear the space. Remove furniture and items from the designated areas.
🗂️ Organization
- Keep things organized. Create a designated holding area for students to wait.
- Maintain distance. Ensure students stay at least 10 feet away from the sets.
- Peace Please. Keep a (relatively) quiet environment around the sets.
⏰ Timeliness and Schedule
- Be punctual. Assign a volunteer or staff member to get classes to the set on time, following the approved schedule.
🔖 Student Identification
- Assist with Identification. Assign a volunteer or staff member to assist with identifying students using our tablet system before they go to the cameras.
🚶🚶🏾🚶🏻 Student Flow
- Help maintain a smooth flow. Line up students and send a new student to the photographer after the previous student has been photographed. Students take an average of 1.5 minutes to get their photos taken.
- Minimize wanderers. It is the school’s responsibility to ensure that all students are directed to the portrait and group sets and photographed.
🕶️ Student Preparation
- Assist with student adjustments. Assign a volunteer or staff member to help with wardrobe and appearance adjustments before students come to the set.
- Last looks. Check wardrobe, faces, and hair. We provide wipes and throw-away combs for this purpose.
